about

The Endangered Guitar has been described as an alien world of bizarre textures and a journey through the land of unending sonic operations. Hans Tammen’s noise guitar recordings from 1994 draw a straight line from his 1980s fiery and energetic playing inspired by Sonny Sharrock and Pete Cosey, to the richly processed guitar sounds of his hybrid interactive guitar/software instrument of today.

Recorded live at Kulturhaus Dock 4, Kassel Germany, March 1994.
